Hi all - further to my email below, Judy Vladimir indicated to me this morning that they do still need volunteers so please check your calendars and if you, your children, your friends, etc. are available please do give Judy a call at 516-571-8040 ext. 119. Hi all – you may recall I sent a “save the date’ email back in February for this important event.  It would be wonderful if we could get a Gotham group of volunteers to help out at the June 8th conference (see below).  I spoke to Judy Vladimir at the Center who indicated volunteers can be as young as high school age and she is more than willing to give community service if needed.
If you are interested, attached is the application form.  Judy indicated there will be a meeting tomorrow evening at the Center at 5:30pm for volunteers but if you are unable to make it given the short notice that is OK.  Please do give Judy a call one way or the other.  Her number is 516-571-8040 ext. 119.
Please also let me know so I can keep a tally.

Dear Friend,

We are writing to you today asking for help recruiting volunteers for the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center’s conference From Generation to Generation…The Legacy Continues ~ An Event Honoring Holocaust Survivors, Liberators, Righteous Among the Nations and their Descendants on June 8 at Hofstra University.

We are expecting 1,000 people to attend the all-day conference and need a small army of volunteers to help with everything from putting together registration packets to escorting Survivors and Veterans to staffing snack stations.

Please help us by publicizing the request to your friends, co-workers, members, etc.  Attached is a Volunteer Application for distribution.
