With fellow Gothamite Vincent Petraro, I advise a client who in another capacity is producing the musical Ragtime (based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow), which runs at the Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford. The critically acclaimed award-winning Broadway musical is directed by John Fanelli of Standing Ovation Studios for a limited run from February 27 to May 4, 2014, Thursday - Sunday eves and Thursday and Sunday Matinees. Through a special offer, tickets cost $67 each with the second ticket at 50% off (plus tax) (while supplies last). It includes show, three-course meal, and parking.

ALSO, Through March 9, an opportunity exists to obtain discounted tickets that can be used as a fundraiser for your organization/ charity/ cause/ house of worship social group; in addition secure an additional significant direct donation when the group sells at least 20 tickets. If the fundraising opportunity is something you want to do please get in touch with Vincent.

About Ragtime. Based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow, this sweeping musical portrait of early 20th century America tells the story of three seemingly unconnected families who wind their way through upper-middle class New Rochelle to Harlem and Tin Pan Alley to the immigrant melting pot of the lower East Side. Colorful characters reveal their belief in the American Dream through fiery rhythms, heart-wrenching lyrics, bigger-than-life choruses, and ever-present ragtime melodies. Ragtime, the Tony Award winning epic musical set in Westchester’s own New Rochelle, features a cast of 40 including NYC, national and local talent. It represents the largest production ever staged Standing Ovation Studios of Armonk. Ragtime's powerful and varied musical score, large cast across three ethnic groups, set designs that include a working Model-T automobile, and intricate story anchored to historical events and figures of its time, raises the bar for what local audiences can expect.

John Fanelli has had more than seventeen successful years directing, teaching and creating programs for young people in theatre arts. In 2006, John founded non-profit educational theatre company called Lighthouse Youth Theatre and Education, Inc. LYT to provide showcase opportunities for residents and youth developed by Westchester County-based performing arts non-profits. In 2012, LYT expanded to include Standing Ovation Studios, state-of-the-art studio space in Armonk, which also serves as LYT's home. LYT is dedicated to providing the highest quality arts education to Westchester County and beyond for the purposes of improving self-esteem, building self-confidence, and empowering well-rounded, expressive individuals. (See details here and a brief video.) Additionally, the Westchester Broadway Theatre, New York’s longest running dinner theater has a rich history of helping performers move to Broadway stages. This Bridge to Broadway is an extraordinary opportunity for professional performers to showcase their talents!
Again contact Vincent about the special group rates and fundraising opportunities. Thank you!
