[Fredslist] Gotham know-how needed

I am considering driving from Seattle to LA after my daughter's wedding in
September, stopping along the way to visit friends and family for about a
week. 

 

I am curious if anyone in Gothamland had some great ideas of how to rent a
car that I will put a lot of miles on for a week or so, (pref a hybrid to
save gas and be GREEN) and yet save a lot of money doing so. 

 

I am sure some of you have some experience or ideas on this, so please
share. Thanks.
