[Fredslist] Emergency Preparedness - for Patients and Providers

Gotham -  A few years ago I participated in an effort by the American Health
Lawyers Association to prepare a checklist for healthcare providers to
assist in the business planning needed for Emergency Preparedness.

The checklist then generated a couple of other pamphlets, including one for
patients (and aren't each of us and our family members occasionally
patients?).  The one for patients is only a few pages and appears to be very
helpful for people with chronic health conditions.

I am familiar with the work of a number of people on these projects and
believe that the documents are very helpful.  I note that while the
"checklist" is for healthcare providers ­ if read broadly it will also give
general business owners some helpful guides in their contracting, backup and
planning activities.
