Dear wonderful Tribe,

I had the great good fortune to be able to attend yesterday's fabulous LGBTQ meeting at the Friar's.
Cheerily and competently co chaired by Lari Schwartz and Connie Cohrt (and, of course, Gotham's Best Boy Batman, the ever young Fred Klein),
the meeting started with a moment of silence for much loved Chris Lamal who recently left this mortal coil and had his roots in this meeting.
-Be sure to attend the Monday 7/30 MAD meeting when Chris will be honored, with special non Gotham guests-

The group was as diverse as New York itself, containing Gotham's very first member (Susan Sajiun-Fitzharris, if you didn't know that you aren't going to enough Gotham functions),
a charitable Marathon runner (http://mskcc.convio.net/site/TR/FredsTeamEvents/Freds_Team?px=1758467&pg=personal&fr_id=1730 ), a New York Historian, a fresh fish photographer and everyone in between...

Fred asked everyone to end their "talk" with what makes them happy, answers ranged from "My cats!" to "My kids!" to the overall fave, going to the beach - though it varied whether people wanted their loved ones at their side or just "Vanted to be alone" (Greta Garbo reference for you youngsters).

A terrific side effect of this meeting is the longevity of the romantic partnerships in attendance, I think Fred topped the list, celebrating 46 years in the next week and I was the newly wed with only 25 years in November.

Oh yeah, we made some outstanding business connections as well.
