[Fredslist] Chelsea's Bat Mitzvah (helping children with special needs)

On behalf of the Theresa Academy of the Performing Arts (TAPA), we can not thank enough Leslie Berkoff Strickland and her daughter
Chelsea for the wonderful "Dance A Thon" last Sunday. It was such a fun time. Chelsea with the help of Gotham and the support of her parents raised over $3,200.  The most successful event of this kind to date for The Theresa Foundation.   
 
Chelsea selected as her community service to create a fund raising event for The Theresa Foundation.
For four hours, the children danced away with a fun DJ leading the charge. 
 
Many Gothamites supported this event through donations of money, T-shirts, snacks etc. A special thank you to Lisa Waterman, my partner, Marie Elena and Laurel Scarr-Konel's husband for attending the event.  Unfortunately, Laurel was not able to make it due to medical reasons.
