Queens non-profit economic development agency seeking an energetic and innovative person for their Director of Marketing & Tourism.  The Director will design, implement, and facilitate the annual marketing and plan for the organization and tourism development for the Borough.  This will entail media outreach and external communications that supports the work of the organization; increase tourism and business development efforts; and manage a series of year-round promotional events including the annual fundraiser. The Director will work closely with all staff but will report directly to the Executive Director.

Education:                        College degree required.  Concentration in Marketing, Business, or Communications preferred.
Experience:                      At least four years in marketing; strong leadership and a proven track record in developing and administering a marketing program.
Required Skills:               Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with staff members at all levels in the organization.  Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.  Knowledge of social networking programs.
Special Skills:                   Fundraising, event management skills and or a background in tourism marketing or the hospitality industry a plus.
