Website Coordinator
Reports to
Director of Development & Communications Manager
Principal Functions
The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) seeks a Website Coordinator
to support the online information needs of the organization. As an
integral member of the organization, the Website Coordinator assists
in the planning, development, and implementation of the PDF website
and online tools. The Website Coordinator is responsible for content
management; coordinating online transactions and reports and providing
limited IT and administrative support. This position reports to the
Director of Development and Communications Manager.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Perform content management updates to PDF website and online
tools.
· Coordinate daily online transactions – gift processing, user
sign up, in-person and online event registrations and other
miscellaneous processing – in NetCommunity, Raiser’s Edge and other
external systems.
· Support use of video, audio, webcast and new technologies on
website.
· Work with outside vendor and selected speakers to help
coordinate registration for educational webinars and webcasts.
· Prepare and send bi-monthly organizational eblasts.
· Develop and improve site features/applications (e.g.,
donation forms, e-commerce tools).
· Ensure website is dynamic, user friendly and conforms to
standards of usability and accessibility for special populations.
· Optimize site content for maximum visibility and ranking in
major search engines (SEO).
· Coordinate monthly reports to track online fundraising
efforts and webinars and webcast participation.
· Handle basic Web administration, such as maintaining domain
name registrations, site hosting services, responding to inquiries
from site visitors, etc.
· Participate in other tasks and special projects as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree with at least two years related experience.
· In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, Creative
Suite, Web standards and best practices. Proficiency with Excel.
· Experience with Raiser’s Edge and Net Community preferred,
or experience with similar databases and Convio or Kintera
systems.Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a
team and translate technical knowledge to staff as well as interact
with general public.
· Must be resourceful, self-starter and problem solver.
· Must be flexible, with ability to juggle multiple priorities
under tight deadlines.
· Proven commitment to nonprofit work and PDF’s mission.
Compensation
Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior
experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.
