Dear UpLink Family:
Asthe facts and impact of the enormity of the tragedy in Haiti continueto unfold we offer our prayers to those, both there and here, who havebeen so incredibly impacted by this horror. The images that flood ourminds tell only a bit of the extent of how the people of Haiti havebeen affected and will be so for the foreseeable future.
We call upon all of our readers to help.
We have beenadvised by both the White House and the Office of the Mayor of New Yorkthat the best way to help is by providingfinancial resources and that certain mainstream organizations are thebest way to get immediate help to those in need. We will follow thissuggestion and below are several organizations that are being suggestedas well as others we have been made aware of.
We will continue to keep information about how to help flowingthrough UpLink as we become aware of new developments. Please doeverything in your ability to help.
May we all pray for the people of Haiti and their families.-The UpLink team
