Dear Gothamites,

" Bravo Gianni" has been a hot place, with a lot of celebrities ... before
downtown became hot. This place, hidden on the South side of 63rd St.,
between 2nd. and 3rd. Ave, however, continue to offer excellent Northern
Italian food, impeccable/ elegant service, and the food is prepared or finished
by your table in copper pots. Gianni, always dressed in immaculate white
chef's outfit walks around supervising his crew and making sure that his
customers are happy. The portions are big, and the maitre d' will be happy to
tell you that, if asked, and suggest that they are good to be shared. The
decoration needs an uplift, but the table with fresh vegetables and antipasto
give a nice color. It is quiet and Gianni refuses to have background music
... his place is for dining not for just eating. The upside is that you can
hear what your friends or business people at your table are saying....
Definitely worth visiting if you want a great and quiet dining.

Renato
