Good Afternoon Along the Network,

Just to let everyone know how The Tribe works.

I had a need for someone to become the Queen of Networking for the Day. I am scheduled to present two workshops in Long Island City tomorrow for the National Academy of Finance. Thirteen NYC high schools, 600 juniors who are assigned to three workshops for the day.

I have been a Presenter for about 10 years, initially introduced to the organization by our own Ira Hecht.

This is the first year I couldn't fulfill my commitment due to personal reasons.

I thought about posting to f
Fredslist and then I had a better idea! I posted to the GC list which includes Co-Chairs as well. Bingo, many responses immediately - however, the short notice was not producing any takers.

It does have a happy ending. David Stein, Co-Chair of the Queens Group, and a venerable Networker, said he would be "The Queen" and, as a matter of fact, the location is right near his office!

So, while you carry on your activities tomorrow, know that David will have two workshops on How to Network with your Friends and Have Friends in ALL the right places. About 60 high school students will be evaluating his presentation.

Thank you, David, for stepping up to the plate and being me for the day. No easy task, no doubt and VERY much appreciated.

Best,

Linda
