A few years ago, my son Randy wrote a paper on John Adams' defense of
the British soldiers after the Boston Massacre;the paper won 3rd place
in the National History Day contest.

Randy is now 17, and he entered the competition again this year in a
different category (Performance), and yesterday he and his group won the
Gold Medal (1st place- over 500,000 entries, 35,000 in his category) for
his script about and performance of Xi Huang Di, the first ruler of
China to call himself Emperor.
