You may know that yesterday I sent an email asking for recommendations for
a heart surgeon for my father.  Gotham is truly amazing.  Within about one
hour, I believe I had identified the top 3 or 4 surgeons to pursue as well
as strong recommendations for surgeons at the hospital treating my dad.
The information came from near and far, from relations and friends of our
members, corroborated and confirmed by multiple similar responses.  A
special thank you to Ben Geizhals and our Advocates group who were right
there to help.  I truly believe that the information I was able to gather
in an hour would have otherwise taken days if not longer to find, and
frankly, likely without such confident results.

I also wanted to thank the many of you who did not have recommendations but
just wanted to share some good wishes and prayers.  Those things really do
get you through the day.

[The good news is that the surgery was actually averted for the time being.
The doctors pursued a less invasive alternative and lets hope it does the
trick.]
