[Fredslist] Looking to figure out cost of living/ salary differences between Boston and New York

All,

I've done the online searching and have found all the conversion  
calculators, but have run into discrepancies (big surprise).

Does anyone know the best way to calculate salary differences between  
New York and Boston?  Does anyone out there have offices in both  
cities and wouldn't mind sharing the percentage differences (don't  
need exact salaries)?
