I served as an expert witness 3 times. One to testify that a company had knocked off the design of a men's fragrance bottle. We won. One to testify that a particular designer had performed services for AT&T that a large design consultancy said he could not have performed well. We won. Lastly, the head of a hospital board publicly fired and maligned the personality of an interior designer whose firm had been working for them for many years because she told a board member that the head of the board was being paid kickbacks by the contractor. The head of the board claimed that the work she was doing was inferior, and she was trying to blame the contractor. We won.

Did you know that two of my Gotham friends are expert expert witnesses: Dr. David Berger (blogger Ennid Berger's spouse and my anesthesiologist) and Michael Garbaldi (my Co Chair in our Legal groups)?&n bsp; David testifies primarily as a defense (he is not adverse to working with plaintiff's attorneys) witness in med mal cases and Michael is a forensic accountant who testifies in such numbers matters as business evaluations.
