[Fredslist] Evening of networking and mentoring at Baruch

An enthusiastic group of Gothamites recruited by Michael Appell turned out last evening to network with and mentor Baruch College students at the Baruch campus. While 52 students signed up, far fewer attended - we outnumbered the students! But judging from the reactions and participation of the students who came, word of mouth will bring out a larger group next time.

 

I think I can speak for the Gotham participants to say that the event was very worthwhile and enjoyable. The students are impressive young people, many from other countries and whose first language is not English. I enjoyed speaking with them, and I always learn something. They should have a bright future with, among other things, guidance from Gotham mentors.
