[Fredslist] Apt for Rent Late July-late Aug

My friend, Jena Pincott is seeking a quiet, considerate, trusted,
cat-loving friend of a  
friend who's looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Manhattan in  
late July-late Aug.

She needs to relocate due to construction in the apartment under hers
(so she can't
use the apt during the day as an office, which is what she uses the
apartment for).   
Her cat, Lavantina, is elderly and doesn't travel well, so she must
leave her at home.  
She'd like to rent out her apartment to the right person:   a cat lover
who  
would be willing to take good care of Lavantina.  In return,  she'll
offer the apt at 
only a fraction of my expenses.

The Apt:
Spacious 1-bedroom in Chelsea with private terrace overlooking lush  
gardens.  Brownstone on beautiful block; my bldg is across the  
street  from a church:   22nd St b/w 8th & 9th Avenues.  (1 block  
from E/C; 2 blocks from 1/9 subways 23rd St).  Washer/ dryer/  
dishwasher /broadband/ air conditioning,  Second floor.   Near art  
galleries, restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, etc. Heart of Chelsea.

My cat:
Lavantina is a sweet, shy  Siamese cat who requires minimal attention  
-- fresh water and dry food, litter box cleaning, occasional brushing  
and petting. She will sit on your lap for hours if she likes you.

The construction in the building:
The construction below my  apt will  be from  8:30am - 5pm  (Mon-Fri  
only) and is due to end in mid-Aug. It will not interfere with any  
access to the apt.  If one doesn't need to sleep or work in the apt  
during the day, this should not be a bother.  Unfortunately, Jena is a
freelance writer/editor who is home working during the day, so she will
need to stay with a friend during this time.

The rent would be $1400 for the four weeks (apts in building normally  
rent for $4200/month).

She would prefer to rent to only one person, but would consider a quiet

couple.  She has yet to confirm her exact dates, but would be
~7/25-8/25.
