Gotham is full of caring and wonderful people and I am pleased to share the
news of yet another fund-raiser being supported by Gotham’s groups!

Recently, a member of the Klein Zelman family requested help for a friend’s
6 year old daughter who needed a bone marrow donor and Gotham came through
– Bandit’s famous Renato Tichauer is on the Board of The Icla da Silva
Foundation (www.icla.org), whose mission is to provide logistical,
emotional and financial support to children with leukemia and their
families and recruit potential bone marrow donors to help patients find a
compatible match.

As you know Gotham has its own 100% pass through 501 c 3 Foundation and
each Gotham group was tasked with selecting a Charity as their Charity of
Choice – the Bandit Group selected The Icla da Silva as their Charity of
Choice.

This year’s Fund-raising Dinner and Dance to support the efforts of The
Icla da Silva Foundation will take place at the Water's Edge Restaurant on
October 19 in Long Island City, New York. Under the skyline of Manhattan
there will be great food, wonderful music and entertainment. We anticipate
that the highlight of the evening will be the meeting for the first time
between a former leukemia patient who received assistance from the
Foundation and her bone marrow donor.   The Members of the Foundation know
that their hard work in taking care of children with leukemia and other
related blood-diseases and recruiting bone-marrow donors at record levels
will receive your attention and benefit from your generosity.
