I Have Nothing to Say
I have to follow up to Nancy’s blog of this week. Nothing is more frustrating than sitting down to write a blog when you are absolutely, completely, and spectacularly out of ideas. Suddenly, every thought you have ever had disappears, and even the weather seems too complicated to discuss.
You stare at the blank screen, hoping it will eventually feel sorry for you and write something itself. The deadline gets closer, your coffee gets colder, and you begin considering writing a blog about having nothing to write about—which, apparently, is exactly what I am doing.
Maybe the best ideas come when we stop trying so hard to find them, or maybe I should just keep staring at this screen. What do you do when you have a deadline and absolutely nothing to say?
