Cold isn't the villan

Cold isn't the villan
Bring on freezing temps

Every winter, people act like cold weather is a personal attack. “It’s freezing,” “I can’t function,” “This weather is unbearable.” Butthe truth is that the cold isn’t the problem, our lack of tolerance is. I've lived, worked, and survived in far colder conditions (hello Buffalo :). Humans have been dealing with the cold long before heated cars, offices, and houses. The temperature didn’t suddenly get worse. We just got softer.

We bounce from heated homes to heated cars to heated buildings, then wonder why a brisk walk feels “brutal.” Cold air can actually sharpen focus, improve sleep, and boost energy when you stop treating it like something to escape. The problem isn’t winter, it’s that we expect comfort all the time.

Here’s the part no one likes to hear...avoiding the cold makes it feel colder. When you never let your body adapt, every chilly day feels extreme. Instead of complaining, dress properly, move your body, and stop pretending winter is an emergency. Cold weather isn’t trying to ruin your life.
