Ruperto Arvelo has over 25 years of experience in varied
architectural market sectors working both nationally and
internationally. He has worked in several architectural
firms in New York, New Jersey and Puerto Rico during his
professional career as an architect and interior designer.
For many of those years he worked as a designer and
project manager at the New York Gensler Office. The
exposure garnered via the firms he worked for, earned
him a high level of experience in residential, corporate
and commercial projects of all scales, including projects
from the ground-up and adaptive re-use interior and
exterior renovations. He earned his bachelor's degree in
the University of Puerto Rico which included architectural
studies in Italy. And he earned his master’s degree in
Syracuse University. Registered as in architect in New
York State and in the process of being registered in
Puerto Rico and Florida, he is a successful multi-faceted
architect that leads his team through the successful
completion of his projects. He has taught at various
leading design colleges and universities; including
Syracuse University, Parsons in New York City and
Berkeley College in New Jersey. He is also an Associate
Editor for the Spanish language interior design magazine,
Casa y Hogar.
