Dying to Not Vote

It always amazes me how far people will go to be against something or someone. Its a habit, a well established neural pathway and, of course, I am guilty of it myself. What a different world we would have if we could just concentrate on what we are for, what we support, rather than what we don't want. What we resist, persists. Here's HuffPost's Wei

Movie Therapy

Sometimes I find enjoying a film to be quite cathartic and inspiring, especially if I'm feeling a little "down in the dumps" or sad. Well, it turns out I'm not the only one who thinks watching a movie can be a very helpful thing to do, there are actually whole doctorates on this very subject, not to mention websites, organizations and meet ups. Without You

Lemonade

Recently the entertainment news has been full of Beyonce's film, Lemonade, which tells the story of Jay Z's unfaithfulness, her feelings and the decision to stay with him. Fairly interesting stuff done in a very artistic way. Thats not the lemonade I'm writing about today. My lemonade story does involve male philandering, but the heart of the story

Lifestyle Change

Just back from a check up at the Doctor's office. A year (or so) ago, he took my blood and reported to me that my cholesterol was dangerously high. I was astounded, but so it goes. He wanted me to go on Lipitor or some other such thing. I am generally not a fan of prescription drugs. I think they are over prescribed, though I do respect the miracle

Emma & Lin & Equality

From the Huffington Post: See Lin-Manuel Miranda and Emma Watson freestyle about gender equality. Right here. One of the highlights of his gender equality freestyle? “That means all day, every day, equal pay, every way, OK?” What else is there to say?

Playground
Posted By : Cayce Crown

I was talking to another Gothamite, the wonderful Sonia Saleh, about what Gotham means to us and how we view it. We came up with the concept of Gotham as Playground. Not to belittle the all the great work that is done within the Gotham Tribe, a playground to me is a place to try out new ideas, engage with like minded (and not-so-like-minded) people
