This year, none of my kids was able to make it home for Mother’s Day. That’s ok.
Don’t get me wrong – I missed them terribly and look forward to each and every time we can be together and hopefully soon. But when they are “grown and flown” that gets harder.
My lesson learned “presence isn’t always the present”. All of my children (including my future children) took a moment and a way to make me feel special on Sunday through their time and their words.
Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of gifts -- particularly a thoughtful gift -- but that doesn’t (necessarily) mean an expensive gift. It means a gift that has meaning.
I hope all the moms in Gotham-land had a moment to feel special on Sunday.
