Hello – I would like to share a message on Fredslist about my recent experience at the Happy Hour event I attended last Friday. Please see below!

I wanted to thank everyone who welcomed me with a warm greeting at last Friday’s virtual Happy Hour meeting on Nov 1st! Although it was a “dry” event, it was nowhere near a dry or dull experience. I’ve been interested in attending the Friday Happy Hour call since joining Gotham’s Manhattan Dinner Group in July. However, due to other commitments and being out of town for vacations, I finally was able to “call-in”. I truly enjoyed the light banter and casual conversations that spun into meaningful topics with laughs along the way. It was amazing how one person asking for help (Norman asking for help with daughter’s job seeking) turned into an all hands-on-deck support to give advice and offer referrals. It was a simple gesture, but a good sign to give and not just show up to receive. Also, it was interesting how each of us shared our own stories of what the NYC marathon means to us and how we celebrate this global event together. I look forward to returning the warm welcome to others who stop by for this Happy Hour event and continuing to get to know others in this professional yet fun group!
