Immediate opening available for an associate attorney
Boutique firm in Long Island, representing clients before the Social Security Administration for disability claims is seeking a dynamic individual for an associate attorney position.
You will be involved in all aspects of representing clients, including: potential client screenings/intakes; case/file work-up; court appearances, both in-person and virtual; and other duties.

The ideal candidate will have:

  *   1-3 years experience as an attorney, with court appearances a plus;
  *   Excellent writing skills (a sample will be required);
  *   Excel at time-management skills and multi-tasking capabilities;
  *   Flexible scheduling;
  *   Be able to work effectively with little direction;
  *   Be a team-player;
  *   A desire to grow with the firm and move up accordingly.
Requirements:

  *   Admission to practice in any bar of any state in the U.S., preferably New York;
  *   Have a minimum of 1 year experience in any area of law, with preference given to practice in the area of Social Security or other disability type law;
  *   A vehicle for travel to court as needed and a valid driver's license;

Compensation Package:

  *   Base Salary from $70,000 - $90,000 (dependent on experience);
  *   Gas / commuter allowance;
  *   Health Insurance and 401k negotiable;
  *   3 weeks vacation / 7 day sick time / 2 personal days per year;
  *   New business participation fee sharing.
