[Fredslist] Another "You should have been there" moment - Recapping Gotham LI Legal meeting

Gotham LI Legal held another great meeting last Thursday, graciously hosted by Richard H. Apat, Esq. of Vishnick McGovern Milizio LLP.  As noted previously, one of best parts of the meeting is in the beginning as we network with each other and wait for guests to arrive.  Since the meeting was held in Richard's Lake Success office, we had the benefit of greeting a number of Richard's colleagues, including Managing Partner Joe Milizio, Esq.

As Michael Garibaldi and Fred Klein led the discussion, it turned to the Hamas attack, the events unfolding in Israel, and Fred's effort to raise awareness of the multifold issues, particularly among a younger generation who have not witnessed an attack in this region of this magnitude in their life-time.

Fortuitously, among the guests who stopped in to chat was VMM Chief Marketing Officer Roy Schwartz, who was raised in Israel and served in the Israeli army from 1999-2002.  A noted author, and former intelligence officer, Roy provided a unique perspective on the Hamas attack, and subsequent events. Roy spoke from personal experience, sharing a story and other insights from his service. He stressed that there are no easy answers, or even good ones, though we all hold out hope.

It was an emotional, intense meeting, and while we can't promise all Gotham LI Legal meetings will live up to this, we will most definitely try.  Join us on Thursday December 7, and stay tuned for details!
