[Fredslist] Honoring Alice March Kudos Gotham Health & Longevity NYC

Really appreciate my Gotham Health and Longevity Group.  Today our
integrated physician, Dr. Richard Carlton spoke about fall prevention,
especially as we get older. One thing that stood out, is that many people
take medication which can make people dizzy when standing up too fast.  Co-
presenting with Dr. Carlton, was Joan Pagano, certified exercise
physiologist, with a specialization working with women to prevent
osteoporosis.  Joanne leaf the group in some stretches to improve mobility,
flexibility, as well as circulation, which all become impaired as we sit so
much of our day.
As someone who spent close to 30 years working with the elderly and people
with dementia, I know how important it is to stay healthy for as long as we
can.  It was a great talk and experiential along with lively conversation
afterwards.

This meeting was especially relevant as it was in honor of Alice March
who’s life was cut short last fall by a tragic fall.
Alice was a champion of women’s freedom and empathic self-expression. In
honor of Alice and International Women's Day:  "I am Woman. Hear me Roar"!!
