Rob Intelisano is a Gotham person you need to get to know.
Not only did we learn of his past, which formed who he is today, but more importantly the knowledge he has in so many facets in life. From food, to suits, to insurance and everything in between. His presentation today was so informative and I believe set the bar for how it should be done. There was no sales pitch, just info, stories and reasons for it all.

Today’s presentation by Robert C. Intelisano, The Insurance Doctor was as promised - Very Interesting & Informative!

Just to give you some background, Rob is:


  *   CLU, CSA & LUTCF certified
  *   Registered in multiple states
  *   Has been awarded Best of the Boro
  *   Writes a weekly newspaper column and other publications
  *   AND Gotham’s Rookie of the Year (although he’s no rookie when it comes to insurance)!

Rob is a very knowledgable and seasoned professional who has been helping businesses and individuals for quite some time. He told us interesting stories about his family, his past and what ultimately lead him towards the path to Insurance! He shared several cases that he has worked on and explained the unique situations/challenges and how he helped navigate the way through them for his clients. One of the more memorable cases involved a $22 million dollar injury lawsuit against MSG that he was called to assist on.

The presentation covered things like:


  *   Life Insurance
  *   Long Term Care & Disability
  *   Property & Casualty Lines
  *   Annuities
  *   Guardianship & Legal
  *   Life Settlements

We received several import tips (21 by my count 😉) such as: the fact that disability insurance premiums may be deducted or that interest rates on annuities can vary outside of NY and we may eligible for them, even when you can sell policies.

The most important of all is his unrivaled Coaching Method for How to Prepare for Insurance Exams! A few of the more important things to remember are:


  *   Get examined before 10am (blood pressure is lower in the morning)
  *   Do NOT eat for at least 4 hours prior to the exam
  *   No alcohol or Caffeine for 72 prior to exam
  *   No Everything Bagels (poppy seeds can test positive for morphine)
  *   Avoid the middle of your urine stream

Just as side note -Rob, through partners, also has access to Union Health Insurance Plans and other interesting non-traditional niche products.

I know I’ve made what The Insurance Doctor does sound simple, but it’s anything but! If you missed out on the call - you missed A LOT! He’s proven to be, for his clients, a very resourceful problem solver who can navigate his way through complex issues and circumstances.
