[Fredslist] MAD Monday- Playing for our Veterans on the eve of Memorial Day

Dear Esteemed Members of Gotham...many of whom are Veterans. I am for one!

How do you feel when you hear of homeless Veterans? I feel like it's a
tremendous disservice to those people who served our country. Some people
talk about it, but this cause needs people to take action. This is what I
am doing. I hope you'll join in.

I am deeply proud to use my Bass-playing to raise money for an incredible
organization in Bridgeport, CT- *Homes for the Brave*, who provide 6-8
month residency programs designed to prepare struggling Veterans to live
and work on their own...about 100 Veterans are in the program at a time.

Last year we raised $15,000...how about that for taking action!

My *Gold Dust* band is honored to "*Play for our Veterans*". We launch our
3-event summer-journey this Sunday, May 29th, with a kick-off show in
Easton, CT (see our flyer attached). We then play again on Sunday, July
17th, it's our showcase event. We play next at their 20th Anniversary
Celebration party on August 26.

If you're also moved to support the cause, then ping me back for more

Lastly, if you don't think CT is too far away to go enjoy a beautiful
afternoon of musical entertainment while honoring Veterans, then come join
us.

Please set aside July 17th for our main event to plan a trip into Easton
where we will pay special tribute to our Veterans. Thank you!
