Gotham –
Josh and I are doing work for a synagogue of Black Jews in Bed-Stuy. They have always helped the community, including by hosting the only kosher soup kitchen that served non-Jews in the neighborhood. They need to demolish the building which has been under a full vacate order for 5 years. COVID and other issues have not stopped us, but progress has been slow. In addition to having help from us, they have been helped by other reputable people, including one of the largest law firms in the country.
They need a mortgage of $300,000 or a line of credit of up to $500,000 to help them make the real progress.
Based on very preliminary check online, I believe they can afford this.
If you have a contact in a bank that might be willing to help please EMAIL me. They currently bank at Carver Bank and if you have a good contact there EMAIL me too!
