[Fredslist] NYC Retiree Heath Program

My wife is covered through the NYC retirees program. To say the least, there
has been much  confusion about  the new Medicare Advantage Plus program vs
the existing Senior Care program. Part and parcel with that is the 'opt out'
that has been offered to retirees at additional cost to maintain the
existing program.

 

One of many questions:  The injunction stays the deadline date beyond  Oct
31. So, if we opt out (to then remain in the present program) can we then
later rescind the  opt out because of changes due to the injunction. 

 

Does anyone have any input/knowledge on this that could help us make an
informed choice.
