[Fredslist] Then and Coming up ...

Plenty coming up in Gotham – before going there, let’s take a quick look  at some magic from last week. 

The Gotham Green Group®/Princeton Group joint meeting featured two of the Gotham Green Award® winners. Sustainable Princeton has several projects underway. Molly Jones gave an overview of the challenges they have taken on and while it’s not as simple as waiving a magic wand, the collaborative effort of local groups and citizens of Princeton are making a difference. 

Josh Zinder, Co-Chair of  stood in for  Jared Witt Gotham Green Award® winner in the Green Building category for 30 Maclean Street in Princeton, NJ. Jared was out looking for more ways to make architectural beauty and sustainability magically come together. Josh shared the history and many details of the project, a LEED certified, mixed income multi-family residential project converted from a historic masonry and timber frame structure. 

Although it took over three years to complete, the Princeton Maclean Group was able to meet the interest of the community as well as their environmental, historic preservation and accessibility goals. Further, the original lumber is being repurposed into usable furniture. 

OK, so you missed an amazing meeting and if you missed Happy Hour too, then what can I say besides “tough toodles-too bad so sad!”

Not exactly sure which comment Fred’s gesture relates to or what to make of Raj Goel’s shirt. Our ability to cover more topics than the average twitter feed in the span of an hour is truly something to behold.
