Riding the Gotham circuit is like enjoying a giant banana split with yummy textures and flavors that individually are good and when all smushed (it’s a real word to me) the sum of the parts is over the top delightful. Now, if banana splits are not your thing, use your imagination.

While on the topic of banana splits, a visit to the Long Island Women afforded an opportunity to hear from Tom Lanzetta, a performance and fitness coach who shared wonderful information on how our diet affects our overall performance. He gave us the inside scoop on some tips and tricks for eating well. It was good to hear someone else singing my tune and I picked up a few healthy nuggets too. Thank you to Lisa Waterman(The Garibaldi Group and iLaw) and Nancy Schess (Klein Zelman Rothermel Jacobs and Schess) for hosting.

Getting to Co-host a Powerful Business Breakfast with Corey Bearak (Government and Public Affairs Council) And Vincent Chirico (Chirico Law) was another scoop of goodness I got to enjoy this week.

We started with sports talk, musical musings and Fred Klein (our co-founder, fearless leader and delegator in chief) lovingly picking on Norman Spizz (SPN Music and Entertainment)in a way reminiscent of the Bickersons. Then on to business - we do plenty of that for sure. We heard from Gotham member, Lorraine Lowe, the Membership Director of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. She went over the amazing impact the Chamber has had in Brooklyn and beyond.

The circuit ride this week ended in DC where David Padrusch (Limulus Media) hosted a meeting that had this chronicler, Bill Solz (Stress Solutions of New York) and everyone else sitting on the edge of our seats.

We heard from Michael Hawk, combat veteran, survival instructor, author, and television host who spoke about the eight pillars of survival-based contingency planning and more. His personal story is compelling and the advice he shared was eye-opening.

And so it went, 3 meetings … three scoops of Gotham … with all of the flavor and texture that comes from bringing amazing humans together to exchange stories, ideas, and gifts. And the cherry on top will be Happy Hour today at 5pm.

Week after week we all get to partake of the deliciousness of networking with the Gotham Community and our guests. And it’s all designed with our mutual satisfaction in mind.
