Good afternoon Gotham!

This is a very exciting email to invite you all to join us for an outdoor cocktails event on July 28.   Here is the story.

As you may remember, our Long Island groups have an annual tradition of getting together for cocktails at Westbury Manor.  While we could not be together last year, given the continually improving conditions and current state of regulations, we have arranged to return to Westbury Manor for this meeting for outdoor cocktails.  We hope you can Ride the Circuit and visit with our Long Island groups.

Given that this will be our first in person event for over a year, here is how the event will work:

  *   We will enjoy cocktails and appetizers outside on the grounds of the beautiful Westbury Manor.
  *   We will not require vaccination or proof of vaccination to attend but we will follow the then current CDC/NYS guidelines with respect to masks and physical distancing.
  *   Of course, anyone may choose to wear a mask to meet their own comfort levels.  We will, however, expect any of our members who are not vaccinated (or yet fully vaccinated) to wear a mask and observe physical distancing requirements.
  *   When inside the Manor in the common areas, we ask all guests to wear a mask.
  *   As this is our first event we are going to monitor attendance and limit maximum participation to the first 60 participants.  Note that “first dibs” go to members of Gotham LI, LI Legal, LI Women and LI Dinner through July 16.
  *   In the event of inclement weather, we will schedule a “rain date” to reconvene.
