[Fredslist] Missing Happy Hour - sheer folly!

Gotham Happy Hour – the perfect transition from the weekday to the weekend. I love being greeted by Norman Spizz (SPN Music and Entertainment.) We tend to be the early birds which has nothing to do with age or cheap drinks – note to Odey Raviv (PhD and founder Gotham’s Forever Young, a group that focuses on options for the 55+ folks thinking about a mid-life pivot. 

Scott Bloom (Bloom Real Estate Group) also another early bird, which probably explains his success getting the proverbial “worm,” joined us before the screen began to fill up. We had time to engage in an interesting conversation. WOULD YOU RATHER POSSESS INTELLIGENCE OR GRIT? 

JOKESTERS AMONG US … Alan Kreit (Sr. Lending Officer, Bank of America) and  John Evans (Hudson Capital Management) supported Norman in the weekly ritual of keeping our resident laugh track, Rita Sue Siegel (Rita Sue Siegel Resources) entertained with an assortment of sillY stuff. 

Raj Goel (Brainlink) was his usual naughty, humble, and delightful self - much to the amusement (or chagrin) of Nancy Schess (Klein Zelman Rothermel and Schess.) It’s no secret that Raj(“Bubbles" Goel to this reporter) is one of those humans who can be counted on to generously share all that he has to offer. 

GOOD ADVICE … based on advice he received last week at Happy Hour, Raj broke through his CoronaTime captivity to enjoy a “progressive takeout dinner.”  It’s a good thing he came to Happy Hour or he would have remained stuck! 

MISSING HAPPY HOUR IS PURE FOLLY FOR SURE!  

SPEAKING OF FOLLY … Did you know that Gotham used to have a talent show? Norman Spizz (SPN Music and Entertainment) treated us to a clip of the 2004 Gotham Follies. The clip was of the multi-talented Alex Klein (Design Oven) performing a song co-written with his dad, Fred a/k/a Sullivan (Klein Zelman Rothermel Jacobs and Schess.)Fred, the host of the Follies was resplendent in a jacket you need to check out when we see another segment next week. 

That’s right … Norman has taken the Gotham Follies and made separate videos that we will enjoy at upcoming Happy Hours every Friday @5pm
