[Fredslist] Oh ... more on that Happy Hour Business ...

Talk about business - there was plenty of it at Gotham Happy Hour last week. Fred Klein (Nancy’s Partner) gave Norman Spizz (SPN Music & Entertainment) da business; I gave Ruperto Arvelo (Arvelo Architecture and Design) da business … I sure hope he’s up and dancing like Fred Astaire soon.  Norman Spizz  gave us all da business.

Corey Bearak (Government and Public Affairs Counsel) helped with important business: is it MOGE or MOOG?  Did you know that Albert Brooks was an Einstein? So grateful Nancy Schess (Klein, Zelman, Jacobs, Rothermel and Schess) isn’t in the barber business. And apropos of nothing, I thought everyone knew what “shicker” is! 

It was great to have David Abeshouse (Law Office of David Abeshouse)  and Jane Beddall (Dovetail Resolutions) on hand  just in case we needed help finding common ground on these important matters.  

Among the Happy Hour Honorables present was Dan Schwartz (Carr Business Systems ) he brought his 2020 Networker of the Year Plaque. Ray Walcott (Senior Business Relationship Mgr., Capital One Bank) let me give his daughter Madison da business for a few minutes.

Norman Spizz kept the one-liners coming; Paula Oleska (Natural Intelligent Systems) tossed in a joke – she might want to helping people improve their business with “brain upgrades” her area of expertise; and RitaSue Siegel (RitaSue Siegel Resources) makes it her business to laugh at everything.

There were no Mets or Yankee jokes. Perhaps because there’s nothing funny about the baseball business these days … if there were,  Roy Fenichel (MiT Land Services) would have said it.

Making each other laugh, sharing memories, enjoying the camaraderie, and getting to know each other better is da best.  Did you know that before his show business career and way before he became and Events Master, Norman was in the business of shaping young minds – he had a profound impact on his students – no joke. He’s been a mentor and a mensch for a long time.

So, it’s probably none of my business, but where are you going to be this Friday @5pm? Consider stopping by and join in the fun – it’s time well spent  - good business.
