[Fredslist] Breakfast Special ...

Cereal- hot or cold; eggs-scrambled or over easy; toast- whole wheat, rye or white; juice, milk, or coffee; smoothies for some, pastry for others. And then there’s Power and Business for breakfast. Power - the capability of doing or accomplishing something and breakfast – the first meal of the day. 

Thanks Group Chair of Gotham Power Breakfast, Corey Bearak (Government and Public Affairs Counsel)  for joining me in welcoming our members and guests. 

Circuit Rider Norman Spizz (SPN Music and Entertainment) whose largess is evidenced in the photo below, stopped on his way to get his COVID vax; he let us know about two important events coming up. We will have movie night on 1/28 to discuss “Four Seasons Lodge” which features Esther Geizhals the mother of Ben Geizhals, (Healthcare Attorney) and a murder mystery night in February.

Norman also hinted at something special on the menu for Happy Hour; come by and check it out Friday at 5pm. It will be epic.

We ate up some good news about NYC real estate from David Perry (Realtor) and I’m glad Ray Walcott (Capitol One Bank) knows what’s cooking in the world of credit availability, rates and bank programs. Corey’s guest Gil Cyglar from the Brooklyn Chamber came to see who was sitting at our table. 

Stephanie Shalofsky(The Organizing Zone) showed that it's possible to do big business in small spaces. Robin Nack (New York Life/looking for new opportunities) has offered her marketing skills on the table to help us with the Gotham LinkedIn Group.

And speaking of power, Dan Schwartz (Carr Xerox) offers free systems analyses, Carmine Goncavles (Wingate Russotti) and offered up his 3  rolodexes worth of connections – Rolodexes? Those two are empowering others to accomplish what need to get done. 

This past week a guest at another meeting told me he was impressed with how authentic and genuine Gotham members are. It’s true - mutual support rather than self-aggrandizement is always on the menu. 

You know how we often get to the diner or our special place for breakfast and order “the special.” That’s what we got on Wednesday morning … the Power Breakfast Special.
