Who would have ever thought that the place to be on Friday at 5pm is in front of the computer on Zoom for Gotham Happy Hour?  

This past week, the conversation at Happy Hour started as it usually does with food – smoked fish, lox, and Costco chicken -  and wine – sweet, dry or whatever’s available. What’s the best and where to get it.

Then on to a joke-off with Norman Spizz (SPN Music and Entertainment)rattling off the oldest and corniest. Brad Scherer (Klerer Financial) joined in - he even made himself laugh. The flinging of funnies kept the resident laugh track Paula Oleska (Natural Intelligent Systems Inc) and RitaSue Siegel(RitaSue Siegal Resources) busy. 

Norman showed another clip of the Gotham Follies. This clip featured Mike Landrum and his backup singers, The Gothamettes, which included Nancy Schess (Klein, Zelman, Rothermel, Jacobs and Schess) making her second appearance in the Follies. The song selections, “You Go to My Head” and “Sentimental Journey” clearly triggered something.

Then something really got into our heads and hilarity ensued.

At the end of the day, there was so much going on that my FOMO kicked in, I was afraid to leave and was almost late for services.
