[Fredslist] Needed- golf resorts 2-3 hours south of NY

When all else fails go to fredslist.
4 couples are planning a golf weekend. We were all set to go to The
Sagamore up near Lake George when one of my friends realized that it would
be quite cold in early October. So now we are looking south of here but we
only came up with two places- neither one sounds exciting. There has to be
more.

So Gotham golfers- where do you recommend for a three day golf trip- no
greater than 4 hours south of here?
