Hi Everyone
My organization United Concierge Medicine is a virtual ER considered an essential frontline provider for not only the pandemic response but all acute care needs that happen to any individuals 24/7/365. Ninety-eight percent of cases do not belong in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting. We can properly guide and direct you with appropriate diagnosis and screening.
We are hearing from counties, health systems, hospitals non profit, employers, schools, associations, and managed care plans all over the state right now because they can’t handle the volume and don’t have the manpower. We are also supporting other states and we are licensed to provide care in everyone one of them.
Why can we do it and the other’s can’t? Because they are overwhelmed with people not knowing what they have or what to do about it. As a virtual ER, we are also not exposing our staff or medical personnel and we can better follow patients as well as coordinate appropriate care to the right place for the right reason with the right providers. While we tell people if you think you have an emergency call 911, we also tell them that for everything else and when you aren’t sure, call. Yes we sometimes get people who are actually having an emergency and we are able to contact 911 to arrange transport with a proper diagnosis. Think about it this way, it is left up to us to decide what to do. But we aren’t trained to make the right decision. That happens every day. So when you talk about the “what ifs” with regard to telemedicine and virtual ER, remember that you are at greater risk trying to make that decision yourselves without benefit of training.
One county reached out stating that private PCPs don’t want to and can’t take on the pandemic response. Two major hospital systems here in Metro New York are asking for our help as we speak.
In the last 96 hours United Concierge Medicine has added support for a few million lives and we continue to staff up and with incredible speed ramping up quick to support all New Yorkers. We can diagnose, treat what can be treated, but most importantly triage what ever ails you effectively back into your local ecosystem with our intervention and support if warranted or guide and direct you what you can do in place. ER experienced providers want to work with us. Clinical staffing isn’t an issue.
We created something very unique that has gotten tremendous media attention not only in New York but around the country this past year. It is called Direct Emergency Medicine Triage. A way to create a public-private partnership that engages local county government, managed care plans, and the community to make it easy for anyone that needs an answer about what’s wrong and what they can do about it. It was a program designed a few years ago that has been blessed by CMS and launched over a year ago. That program is what’s leading the way in which to easily help you by a call or click of a button because it was designed to be simple.
As such we have been invited and selected to present to Blue Cross Blue Shield Association today at 2:45 to make all Blues plans aware of us and what we are doing. It is our intent to work with all health plans over the course of the coming year and we are in deep discussions with many.
We would love to hear from you about what is working or not working for you as it relates to your current medical care. The feedback makes us better at what we do by learning from your experiences.
As someone who has been working remotely for two years, I can also share that opportunities as well as the challenges associated to working from home as well.
Warmest regards,
Ester Horowitz

“Impossible is a word thrown around by others who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
