[Fredslist] Microsoft account password change

It is a total scam.  Microsoft will never initiate a call.  Neither will DELL, HP, APPLE or probably any company, not looking to sell you something.  This scam can also take the form of a pop-up in your browser that will not release.  To get past one of those, CTRL-ALT-DEL and END TASK on iexplore.exe (Internet Explorer), Chrome.exe (Chrome), Firefox.exe, etc.  Essentially killing the browser function and ending the hijacking.

Hi Gothamites,

   Out of the blue about an hour ago I got a call from Microsoft w/ pre-recorded message it was shutting itself
out from me.  The reason was unclear.  Does that mean I'd be unable to use my computer altogether?

    You can't speak to anyone there, and further pre-recorded dialog options contained no useful suggestions re what
to do.  I was asked to create several more passwords to re-access them, to no avail; just got about 5 repeat replies re
try signing in again - which was always rejected.  Reminds me of the movie Groundhog Day (but that was more fun) !

     Has anyone been through this?  And/or, does anyone have suggestions what I can do?  Their system
is about as clear as mud.
