This is not a request for money or a kidney.  Rather, this is a special request and invitation to show your support for a friend and alum in need by simply showing up. Some might call it an irrational act of kindness. The psychic dividends can be boundless.
Dear Tribal Community,
Roughly 30 million Americans have chronic kidney disease and an astounding 96 percent of people with kidney damage have no idea they have it.  Known as the silent killer, kidney disease has no symptoms in its early stages and is often detected too late.

A dear friend and Gotham alum, Diane DiResta, knows this all too well as she searches for a kidney for her husband, the love of her life..With the help of friends, and the power of building community, there is great hope that a kidney will be found.

NOTE:  On the article attached, Looking for a Hero, scroll all the way down past the photo to the actual article.

To provide some basic information, Diane will be hosting an awareness event on JULY 10 at Primary with networking, food and beverages, and a presentation by RENEWAL.org, a not for profit responsible for over 600 kidney transplants.

This is an information only event for any who have friends, family, or colleagues dealing with this challenge.....and to provide Diane a level of support that we would all wish for our friends and loved ones.  THERE IS NO CHARGE.  Simply click on the link below to RSVP at Event Brite.com. Event poster attached as well.

Hope to see you there.  RENEWAL.org is looking for a great turn out and your RSVP will help.
