Gotham,

My mother is in a wheelchair and lately, it has been very difficult to get her in/out of bed, in/out of dining chairs, etc due to her frail bones.

We need to make my sister's house more mom-friendly:

What recommendations / suggestions do you have for:

1) Chairs/recliners that can raise her to an standing position / lower her from standing to sitting

2) Recommendations for a new wheel chair

3) ideas or vendors for making bathrooms handicap friendly and caregiver friendly

4) Suggestions on beds that raise & lower easily

5) Ideas on making HOME HEATH AIDE coverage easier/faster to switch between. Queens, Nassau, Silver Spring Maryland.

E.g. if mom wants to visit her daughters for 1-3 weeks, how can we get home health aides approved and available?

6) Anything else that you've experienced

Thanks!!
