My good friend Barry Kessler is looking to transition into IT for the civilian side. In terms of "job titles/descriptions" Tier 1 support, help desk, IT Support Specialist. That is essentially the first line of support for the user if there computer is having an issue or the printer is not working. Your in house IT support who you would contact.
