[Fredslist] Computer Message

As many of you know, my computer was hacked 3 months ago.  
Just clicked on an email, then heard message that my computer security may be threatened & don't shut it down.  
Really don't want to go thru another experience like before.
Any suggestions, advice greatly appreciated.
