[Fredslist] Carpentry/Stair repair

Are any of you skilled at carpentry/stair repair?  Or do you know anyone
who is?   There are 2 or 3 flights of our coop stairs where the joints at
the newel posts have moved and dropped slightly so there is a gap opening
up and the stairs are tilted a bit.
