[Fredslist] Does anyone know about Wild Apricot?

Dear Gotham Gurus,

 

A friend of mine was about to sign up with Wild Apricot, a company that
offers "association management software" to manage organization membership,
event registration, website building, on-line payments, and such.  It seems
to be the sort of cloud-based service that collects a lot of very personal
information as part of the services it provides.  

 

She was stopped cold, however, when she scrolled down on the "about us" page
(https://www.wildapricot.com/about-us)

and realized that the company has two offices, one in Toronto and the other
in Moscow.  (In Russia??)

 

Despite not signing up, she keeps getting ads for Wild Apricot on Facebook. 

 

Do any of you know anything about Wild Apricot, good or bad?
