[Fredslist] On Posting to Fredslist (and to Promos too!)

I get asked often so here goes.



To post to Fredslist Gotham (Mondays through Fridays) email to fredslist at gothamnetworking.com <mailto:fredslist at gothamnetworking.com>.



To post to Gotham Promo List Serve (Tuesday and Fridays only) email to promo at gothamnetworking.com <mailto:promo at gothamnetworking.com>.



ALSO, you will receive an automatic notice that your post was submitted for moderator review. However, you may not receive that automatic notice because of your spam/junk filter that prevents the same email that you sent, to be received. That email includes a link that allows you to cancel your posting in the event you made a typo, left something out or want to make a correction, or just change your mind about wanting to post.  If you do not receive the automatic notice it may signal to you that you are not receiving Fredslist posts — including your own (members sometimes email me asking if their post ran).



Finally, Gotham only approves post during business hours so please try to send your post during the business day. Posts send after hours get hold to the next day (or next Promo Day).



Now on substance, some people submit posts promoting an investment — whether via Fredslist or Promolist — Explicitly promoting an investment may pose a securities law issue and traditionally Gotham does not let these kind of submissions get posted (inadvertent or sneaky one could get by) but do please do not test us. What might work instead is a generic "looking for assistance in finding investors” in a general sense rather than to promote or make an offering of any investment directly. That allows people might have an interest to respond directly and take any discussion concerning investment off-list — where it belongs.



One more thing on process. Whether on Fredslist or Promolist, please do not send any mass emails which include an “unsubscribe” message. If you would like to send your newsletter to promo list you’ll need to delete the unsubscribe function. Otherwise it results in you being unsubscribed as well as other issues.
