[Fredslist] Question about Acrobat Reader

Hello, Gotham:

I recently updated to Acrobat Reader DC.  The format is now different from
the way it used to appear before the update.  There is a now a wide menu to
the right of any PDF which I open.  Although you can click to eliminate the
menu, is there a way of disabling this feature entirely?  I find it
distracting.
