[Fredslist] Help our MSD students - an outreach

Hi Gotham:

I appreciate the response to my earlier post.  In response to queries on how to help victims and their families of the Parkland, Florida massacre, I share the following partial list:

Please help our children, the survivors of this last massacre, and all the kids banding together throughout this (once) great nation of ours to succeed in changing our current way of doing business.

Although this is from a Jewish organization it is a list of many of the things going on and how to donate etc.

Both the Red Cross and United Way are also supporting these efforts.

I just spoke with the Executive Director of the Broward Red Cross.  They are currently stationed on site until tomorrow.  They will continue assisting, but remotely.  I was informed that they currently have enough hands on onsite to cover the need, but I was also told that this will not be going away and help will be needed in the near future.  The children are returning (I do not know HOW) to the school late next week.  Faculty and staff are going in tomorrow for an orientation on reopening the school.  There will be a lot of pieces that need to be picked up and fixed after they return.

I am awaiting more information form the United Way spokesperson I contacted earlier.  As soon as I have more contact information, I will post it here.
